Biographies
Jerome L. Pionk
Dr. Jerome L. Pionk is a retired United States Army Sergeant Major with over 30 years of service. He holds a Doctorate in Philosophy in Business (Human Resurces Management) from Northcentral University, a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Science degree from The State University of New York. Currently, he is the Chief of the Enlisted Incentives Branch, HQDA G-1. He served from 1992-2000 as the Army's Senior Retention Policy Proponent in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel in the Pentagon. He was named as the Army's Career Counselor of the Century upon his retirement. He is also a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and held the rank of Major in the U.S. Army Reserves. He has written three books; "Prairie Vignettes" a collection of short stories about his South Dakota childhood, the "Army Career Planner" and "The History of Military Retention", a compiled archive of major events in our Nation's history that impacted on military retention. He was previously an English instructor at Yale Language Institute in Seoul, Korea and was an English instructor for officials of the 1988 Seoul Olympic Organizing Committee. Currently, he is the Chief of Recruiting Incentives Branch, Headquarters, Department of the Army G-1.
Daniel Hladky
Dr. Daniel Hladky retired from the United States Army after 23 years of service at the rank of Sergeant Major. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Business (Human Resources Management) from Northcentral University, a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources Development and Management, from Webster University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, from the State University of New York. His military background encompasses over 20 years in the field of Human Resources Management and personnel, by holding various senior enlisted positions with both the United States Army Recruiting Command and several tours as a Command Career Counselor. He was the distinguished graduate of the U.S. Army's Sergeant's Major Academy, class 47, and a distinguished graduate from the US Army Career Counselor's Course. Among his many diverse assignments, he served as the branch assignment manager and enlisted career advisor at PERSCOM for the Army's Career Counselor and Retention force from 1993-1995,and spent several tours as with the Recruiting Support Command as the Army's National Convention Manager. Previously he was an adjunct professor with Vincennes University where he taught Human Resources Management, Psychology and various other Human Resources and management courses. Currently, he is employed with a major financial services company as a Field Audit Compliance Officer. He holds a series 6, 26, and series 63 securities license and is an affiliate member of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
Lyle J. Hogue
Dr. Lyle J. Hogue, currently works as the Deputy Director for the Army's Change Management Division, Army G-8. Prior to his current assignment, he worked for IBM as a managing consultant in the public sector and before moveing to IBM, worked for Science Applications International Corporation as a researcher and writer of various Army professional development pamphlets. He served 23 years in the Army; predominantly in recruiting and retention positions. Dr. Hogue's final assignment in the US Army was as the Retention Sergeant Major for Fort Benning, Georgia. He retired in 2006, receiving the Legion of Merit for meritorious service. Before retirement, Dr. Hogue graduated from Argosy University-Sarasota ( http://www.argosyu.edu/sarasota/) with a Doctorate of Education Degree in Organizational Leadership. Dr. Hogue has published numerous articles in the Human Resources Management and Counseling fields, including the Army Career Counselor Training and Evaluation Handbook. He is a Professor with the American Public University System, an advisor to the Center for Military Sociological Studies, and serves as the director of marketing for the AssociationLyle J. Hogue, retired as a Sergeant Major from the US Army in 2006. He holds a Doctor of Education degree from Argosy University, is an adjunct professor with the American Public University System, and an advisor to the Center for Military Sociological Studies.
